G Spa

For my birthday, I wanted to indulge myself in a spa or massage and just have some me-time to reflect on what I really wanted to do during this period (really just an excuse to pamper myself huh). Especially since D couldn’t take the day off, which was really a shame as it was the long weekend and we could have gone away on a short trip!

Came across G Spa while doing research for my birthday treat. The first time I chanced upon it, I’ll be honest, the name and its location weren’t exactly enticing. So I moved on to the next spa on the list. Unfortunately, not sure if it was due to the long weekend, the ones I shortlisted were full.

So I went back to do some research again, this time with D sitting next to me. He pointed out G Spa again from one of the list of spas featured on this article, and this time I went to do more in-depth research.

Entrance to G Spa

What my research revealed was the ratio of males to females was approximately 5:1, and that got me really skeptical. But what convinced me was what I was entitled to in the premises, it was like a full-day indulgence which came with a massage.

Female sauna & hot pool

While my research proved to be accurate, I quickly found out what that entailed – having the exclusive female sauna and hot pool area (almost) all to myself, which makes for a really good solo spa trip experience to have some alone time.

Dining area

Regretted not heading there earlier – could have spent my whole day there with free-flow food and drinks served in the common dining area (which honestly surpassed my expectations), WiFi to get some work done, and even a relaxation lounge to watch TV where I promptly fell asleep on their comfy recliner chairs.

Not forgetting the massage was probably one of the best I’ve had in Singapore, though that’s not saying a lot since I don’t usually do them in Singapore.

Glad I took a leap of faith and stepped out of my comfort zone this time 🙂
